Terms of Service

What Gathered is

Gathered is a prayer-chain service operated by a for-profit company. Members pray for one another voluntarily. When you purchase prayers or a subscription, you are paying for the service that organizes, delivers, screens, and reports that praying — you are not purchasing spiritual outcomes, and we make no promises about how God answers prayer.

What we promise about delivery

When you request a circle of a stated size, we will continue sharing your request with chain members until that number of prayers has been confirmed, or refund the request price at your ask if we cannot. Confirmation counts shown to you are actual records of member confirmations.

Credits

Purchased credits do not expire. Promotional credits (earned by praying, or granted) expire after 12 months of account inactivity. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and can be spent only on Gathered. If we ever discontinue the service, unspent purchased credits will be refunded.

Refunds

We are deliberately generous: if something wasn’t right, contact us and we will make it right or refund it. Chargebacks reverse the associated credits, which may take an account balance negative until resolved.

Subscriptions

Standing Circles renew monthly and can be canceled in one tap, effective at the period end. We may pause new subscriptions when intercessor capacity is short — we would rather waitlist you than over-promise.

Acceptable use

Requests and notes must be sincere and safe: no fundraising or solicitation, no contact details, no harassment or hate, no commercial content, no impersonation. We screen content and may decline, edit for privacy, or remove content and accounts that break these rules. Insincere prayer confirmations (farming) forfeit associated credits.

Not a crisis or medical service

Gathered does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, use the resources on our Help Now page (988; text HOME to 741741; 911).

Your content

Your requests and notes remain yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the service (delivering them to members, displaying them as you chose). Praise reports are shared publicly only with your explicit consent, first name only.

Text messaging

SMS is optional and consent-based: messages only about your own prayers and chain activity, sent only after you explicitly opt in. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; message and data rates may apply. Consent is never a condition of using Gathered.

Accounts

18+. One account per person. We may close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we will email you before the change takes effect — plainly, not buried.
